Welcome!

Students are the strongest shoulders upon which the weight of the future of nation can be safely put. History stands a testimony to the fact that nations have experienced revolutions fuelled by the inquisitive minds of the student community.

Today India is flying with Her golden wings and Her nationals are bringing Her laurels everyday! But what would keep Her going? A poorly focused leadership and lack of sense of belongingness towards the nation can curb our feathers and can make us fly an ordinary flight. How the nation and its growth would sustain without a progressive leadership? And thus never more than today, India needs its students to rise to the occasion and pay the attention which Her ploitics deserves!

In our own humble way, we at SASTRA came forward to generate more political awareness amongst the students and encourage open discussions on the areas which are of national concern. And this is what Youth Forum @ SASTRA is all about. Its the platform which we want to develop for us students in order to bring the leaders out and practice nationality in its real spirit.

Please join us in this effort to produce the leader who will take the nation forward tomorrow and set the example for the leaders of day after tomorrow.

I went to the youth forum twice, please don't take it in the wrong sense but it was a bit frivolous according to me. Only some of the points discussed tended to look rationale rest all looked like idle prattle, for e.g"Reservations are meant to increase the literacy rate!" I do not know from where did she infer it!" Organisers performed substantially well but they should consider that there vassals are not always correct! The knowledge of many of the speakers clearly looks superficial and driven away by idealism. They tend to be captious to anything and everything!
e.g "All the people in parliament are illiterate and corrupt!" who?
Manmohan Singh,Lalu Yadav,Subramanyam Swami,P.Chidambram,Mani Shankar Aiyar,Arun jaitley,Ajit Jogi! the list goes on.Even if some have reached using unethical means the judiciary and the bureaucracy are equiped enough to tackle them.
Corruption isn't an as big problem as it has been exaggerated,Israel epitomizes my statement!
The top ministers are being charged of big scandals but the country commands fear and respect from the West.
A suggestion which i would like to give you all-please speak only when you know that what you are talking is rationale, blabbering anything and contradicting every point will not help at all.
Stop criticizing the government for every problem as one of the organizers said "the cause of inflation and oil price hike is the corrupt government".
But my little knowledge says that it is because of Speculation on the global level the oil it's price has increased even the OPEC is helpless at the moment!,if you want I can discuss it in detail.Inflation is bought in by neo-liberalization but similar policies bought in by the "illiterate" who taught at the London school of Economics and then the Delhi school of the same subject in 1990s has given many graduates like us the so called "placements".the high wages you dream to earn in the world of software technology is just because of him.
hence a kind request please don't make mockery of great people by the superficial knowledge you have attained indirectly you are making yours!
